How are you uninstalling?  What are you uninstalling?  You say your file is still there? 

 

What file?  Is this something that was created using the software that you just uninstalled and it was saved in a folder or sub-folder of the program?  If this is the case, then it makes sense.  Typically, an uninstall program will only uninstall the files that it initially installed.  It didn't install the file that you saved.
