Unknown "Data Interface" Driver

We cannot figure this one out... We have a Dell Lattitude D620 laptop with the docking station. Regardless of whether the dock is connected (and no hardware connected) we get two unknown "Data Interface" devices under an "Other Devices" tab in Device Manager. We have checked and believe that virtually every one of the laptop's drivers are loaded. Removing them only makes them pop up upon reboot with Windows asking to search for drivers, not finding anything on the original CDs that came with the laptop.

Here are the entries in properties - nothing is connected via the USB although we did plug in a monitor to the dock. Remember, this occurs whether or not anything is connected to the D620:

USB\VID_413C&PID_8114&MI_00\7&24B185B&0&0000
USB\VID_413C&PID_8114&MI_01\7&24B185B&0&0001
I appreciate any assistance.

Do you have a Camera device " QuickCam " etc? Check that.

Nope. I called Dell support and all they could think of was a motherboard anomaly - even though it passed every test. Everything is being replaced... and it's a brand new system. It happens I guess...

I had the same problem with a Latitude D620. Turns out the problem was the drivers for the built-in mobile internet access card ( Verizon in this case) needed to be installed. Once I downloaded and installed the drivers the problem was solved. Hope this works for you...
