upgrading graphics card

i have an inspiron 5160 and at the moment have an XGI Volari 32mb however i recently got the 64 mb nvidia from Dell spare parts i have the installation document. however i wasnt sure if i needed to install the nvidia driver or updates so that it will correctly display when i reboot after installing the graphics card as i perviously had a Volari card. or do i simply install the card and downlad drivers afterwards. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Firsr remove the Volari drivers before installing, then install the card, then install the new drivers.

Hmm..I took appart my old 5160 a long time i go so i dont really remember. I'm pretty sure i didnt come accross any problems like that.

Are you following the Service Manual as to how to upgrade your video card?

No man, sorry.
I remember taking the keyboard off a 5160 and a 5100 without any problems..
Try using an electric screwdriver, maybe that'll help
