USB wireless keyboard/Logitech mouse not being recognized
I am docking my Inspiron 8200 (running XP home) in a port replicator and plugging in a Dell Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard in the USB port and keyboard port. The device manager is showing the Alps touched pad as being located in the PS/2 mouse port and "location 0" as the location for the Logitech wireless mouse. The same thing happens when I boot up the laptop out of the port replicator and have the mouse and keyboard plugged into the laptop. I have tried uninstalling the devices and reinstalling them but the machine always reinstalls them the same way. So the wireless mouse and keyboard don't work. Has anyone seen this happen? Does anyone know how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
