When in the Users Guide, click System Information, and System Documentation sould appear in the bix white frame. Clicking on System Documentation should cause Tell Me How to open. If not go to the C:\DELL\DOCS\34NYK\TELLHOW.CHM file and make a new shortcut.

To open user guides from within Help & Support you need to have the 7K546EX0.CAB file which includes the TellMeHow.CHM. You also need InstallCab.vbs (dated 11/01).
At the command prompt type:
"c:\windows\system32\cscript.exe" "c:\directory containing InstallCab.vbs\InstallCab.vbs" "c:\directory containing 7K546EXO.Cab\7K546EXO.Cab" and press Enter.
This should install the tell me how file into Help & Support.
7K546EXO.CAB should be on the drivers CD and InstallCab.vbs came within R44841.EXE which is the PC Health file for Actiontec MD56ORD Modem - you could download this file (Inspiron 8200 under WinXP) and cancel any7 installation which is not needed - the file should be extracted to your hard disk.
I forgot to mention that you need to recreate the 'Vendor' directory -
windows\pchealth\helpctr\Vendors\CN=Dell Computer Corporation,L=Round Rock,S=Texas,C=US
Then create a sub-folder TellHow.
In the TellHow directory you need the tellhow.chm and title.txt files.
If you saved a backup of your original installation then CAB files can be found in the windows\pchealth\helpctr\packagestore directory, each numbered sequentially but you can establish the contents of each file therein and copy/rename them.
Copy the following files to the C:\Dell folder: 1.Dell Tell Me How - (7K546EX0.CAB from x:\Zipfiles\7K546EX0.CAB) 2.Intervideo Win DVD -(INTERVIDEO.CAB from C:\Dell folder) 3.Roxio Easy CD Creator Basic v.5.2 - (ROXIO.CAB from C:\Dell folder) 4.InstallCab.vbs - InstallCab.vbs from C:\Dell\Drivers\R44841 folder)
Where x is the letter of your CD drive.
Install the help files in the following order:
1. Dell Tell Me How 2. Intervideo Win DVD 3. Roxio Easy CD Creator Basic v.5.2
To Install the Help Files:
Open a Command Prompt.
At the Command Prompt type (including the parenthesis “ marks)
“C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CSCRIPT.EXE” “C:\DELL\INSTALLCAB.VBS” “C:\DELL\7K546EX0.CAB” and press
NOTE: You must include the spaces as shown above between each instruction.
Repeat for each of the .CAB files in turn.
TIP: If you press when the Command Prompt reappears, this will repeat the last command entered. This can be edited to substitute the name of each of the other ‘.CAB’ files in turn.
ok I have tried and tried it always looks like the scripit is installing and everything but they docs still don;t show up in inside the help and support center. Thanks for all the help, oh and has this worked for you.
