vid problem on xpsm170 :(

hi all,

my m1710 is acting weird like this:

At first I thought it was some sort of virus but, after formatting reinstalling etc. I only get blackscreens, and even when I can Start Windows XP properly, it will only work for 2-3 minutes.
After that it reboots itselfs and eventually going black again ( @ login screen).

I ran a diagtest @ boot ( F12 during Dell Logo ) and it appears that my Video memory cannot be accessed:

Errorcode 5300:0119
Detected a failure while writing and reading video memory
Video mode : Dh (320x200x16)
Address a4a60h, expected to read 0h, but red FF000000h instead

what can I do to make it work properly again?

XPS m170 (gen 2 thingie)
Centrino 2,13 Ghz
ddr 1024 mb
geforce 6800 go 256mb
win xp

those look like artifacts from overclocking or it going bad . If your still under warrenty get it replaced. Josh

Bad video card.  Hopefully you didn't overclock it.  Contact Dell and they should replace it.

sorry no overclockin' here or any form of (except for that one time I placed it on the cold floor =p)

but this thing has been running smoothly for 3 years now, but last night I suddenly got A Reboot after restarting my notebook from standby mode (open closed lit)
