Video capture card

I have a Inspiron 1505 laptop with Vista and I would like to ask where I look in the system to see if I have a video capture card installed. I would like to copy my old VHS videos over to DVD and I understand I need this card. I have an old VHS video camera and I would like to know also if I do not have a capture card installed, what other items I will need to accomplish my goal. I am a beginner in the DVD copying world so any help would be appreciated.

You don't have one if you did not buy one separately.

You can use either an Express Card or a USB 2.0 device; since most of the connections are external, the USB 2.0 will be less expensive and offer more features and a wider choice of devices.

I'd recommend getting a DVD recorder at your local electronics store.  Using it is almost like using a VCR.  I'd not recommend using a laptop w/ an external USB video capture device.  There's a steep learning curve using PC based video capture methods to transfer video from VHS tapes to DVD.  Plus, the results may not be what you wanted or expected.
