Video Card doesn't support Fullscreen Gamma nor Alpha Blending- PLEASE HELP.

I have purchased and installed Call of Duty 2 for my pc. When I try to play the program, an error alert appears that says, “Error during initialization: Video card or driver doesn’t support alpha blending.”  After selecting ok, a window appears with the heading Call of Duty 2 Console. At the bottom of window, the following writing appears.

----- Client Initialization -----

----- Initializing Renderer ----

-------------------------------

----- Client Initialization Complete -----

----- R_Init -----

Getting Direct3D 9 interface...

Pixel shader version is 1.2

Vertex shader version is 1.1

Video card or driver doesn't support fullscreen gamma.

Video card or driver doesn't support alpha blending.

Error during initialization:

Video card or driver doesn't support alpha blending.

After receiving this, I went to the Dell support website and downloaded their most recent video and audio drivers including nVidia GeForce FX Go5200 Driver.

My pc is an Inspiron 5160 Dell laptop which I purchased exactly one year ago.

The system includes:

Pentium 4 processor 2.80GHz

512 megabytes RAM

Samsung CDRW/DVD SN-424S

Microsoft Windows XP Professional

I do not know how to find out what my video and sound cards are.  I think it may be a XGI Volari-XP5  v2.113.DELL_C; but am not certain.

I had no problems downloading Direct X 9.0c.

I have tried changing my screen resolution, but that didn’t help either.

Please Help, I've tried downloading the following driver files and have had no change in response to the error message.

Driver Files:  R58370, R86368, R90275, R92578, R96945, R98539, R106283, R79460, R89437, R90698, R3225, R97774, R101983.

Thank you,

9 Legend

Have you contacted the game vendor for assistance?

Yes, I have attempted to contact them by sending emails to their customer support group but have had no responses.  I was beginning to think maybe this was something common and I just am not computer savvy enough to figure it out.  The game was purchased for my son at christmas time and I still have been unable to successfully run it.  If you or anyone else could offer some assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I'm having the same problem with my Inspirion 6000.  I haven't downloaded the driver you mentioned but will attempt to do so and see what happens.  Would like to play this game.
