Vista not booting

Hi All,

I own a xps red laptop with window vista ultimate installed. I went to use it and it was like it was froozen, afterwards it keep going into a blue screen and restarting then I used the vista cd and did a repair. Now all that happens is a blank screen and the muose pointer was on screen but no activity. not sure what is happenin when I use vista cd to repair it says all repairs done no repairs needed.

is this a hard drive crash need replacement???
