Vostro 1500 problem
When I turn on my Vostro 1500, the Dell screen comes on, then the Windows XP screen, then the Welcome screen, then the screen goes blank even though the power is still on. Eventually, the computer turns itself off because it times out from lack of use.

Will the system boot to the Dell diagnostics (F12 at powerup)? If so, run a full system diagnostic.
