Vostro 1700 Keyboard Issues
Been having an issue for a long time...finally fed up.
Pretty consistently, while typing, the cursor will jump to another area on the page and continue typing. So, when replying to emails, you have to be really careful or you'll find yourself having typed something down in the middle of the original email.
Is anyone else experiencing this phenomenon? It used to be on occassion, now it's all the time.
Would love to know if there's a fix. It's a pain.

My boss and I have exacty the same problem with ours - have you been able to find a solution? It's so annoying!!

Nope. Not yet...
It is a tad better this week...than before. I'm planning on paying the 'out of warranty' fee to get it fixed if it happens again...

Joined the forum just for this problem .. i'm out of warranty too .. there has to be a solution without having to pay the out of warranty fee .. i'm going to keep searching for now.

I just found this in the forum and I am going to try today .. as my keyboard is jumping around as I'm typing now.

Do not try at home .. this is not for a Vostro 1700 .. I followed the steps but the computer chasis is not the same and you can not get to the correct cables.
