WebCam Software\Driver

I purchased a M6800 from a Dell Sales person... to try and save the company some money, but in the end it just gave myself more stress. I had a previously customized the the M6800 to my needs and sale person was suppose to mimic it. Turns out he left a few things off... One being the Camera Software and possibly the driver. I want to use the camera, but without the software or the driver its a pointless item I purchased.

My question is how can I obtain the software and driver?

I have searched this forum and outside sources for a while now with no luck. Most people say its on your drivers and download or on a disk, but in my case its not. It is not seen that I purchased the software... sigh.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,

Camera on Dell Inspiron systems has native drivers from Windows operating system. The Dell Webcam Central is additional software application through which you can create videos and take pictures. You may consider reinstalling ‘Dell Webcam Central’ if the system came with Windows 7 operating system from HERE. f the system came with Windows 8 or 8.1 operating system then download Dell Webcam Central application on your system you will need to go to ‘My Dell Downloads’ please refer to the video from the link below.

Thanks!

Mine did come with Windows 7, and after many attempts I was finally able to download the software... many thanks for allowing me access to obtain this software.

Kind Regards!

Scott
