Listen here the freak , we will have no common sense or more variable of choice leading to customer satisfaction when ordering a product , therefore the fanmily of Dell will sell you a PC the old fashioned way , you will buy what Dell wants you to buy ,and you will gladly pay for it , if you dont like it take youre money to HP , Compaq , Samsung (19" screen laptop), Alienware , Sager , that will give you a choice , we will have none of this free thinking in the house of Dell.

OH I guess common sense about performance and consumer preference doesn't come easily to big companies.
I think I will continue to keep my money in companies with variety and common sense (a rare trait of Americans). So when Dell decides that they want to make high performance computers that don't become area heaters (hint hint PRESCOTT(CPU Name) ARIZONA) please tell me.
ps. Hopefully AMD will when their case against Intel!

I am holding out in the hopes that Dell will see that (1) a Desktop AMD line would be a great addition for power and value; and (2) that an AMD mobile laptop is probably not a necessary addition at this time, but couldn't hurt. My Dimension is still working, but a bit old. Dell is not the cheapest, but you can get decent bundles. However, if Dell does not have an AMD line of desktops by the time my Dimension dies or by 3Q06, whichever is earlier, then I will likely take my business elsewhere or build at home. I think there are a few folks out there that feel the same. A shame really... throwing away brand loyalty, especially in an increasingly competitive market and Apple making all kinds of changes. There may be some supply chain issues or exclusivity deals of which consumers are not aware, but you would think that they wouldn't want to put all there hopes in one chip vendor's production and that they would have sufficient bargaining power (by now) to be able to get better deals. My $0.02.

Dell + Intel + Politics - AMD - competition - youre interest = Go elsewhere for buying youre notebook , (No AMD for you.)
