Win 2000 DVD decoder
I have a dell Inspiron 3500 with Windows 2000 Pro installed. I don't have the dell disc(s) to upload the DVD codec. I've tried Windows Media Player, Dix player, and some others, but still the same message. I need a FREE codec to make this thing work.
Any pointers are appericiated!

You seem to be Excessively Cheap. A good codec is like $10 and DVD AND MP3 is like $19.95 or less.

I used the trial version of WinDVD until I got my discs from Dell.
Good luck at getting all of the discs you need in one try. Dell had to send me discs on three separate occasions to get me all of the right discs. I now have some duplicates and thankfully all of the discs.
