WIN98SE support drivers

Hi, I bought a Latitude C840 notebook and am dl the drivers fro the DELL support page. None of the Bios versions appear to support Win98SE anymore. Do I have to dl them resp. can I dl them anyway? I bought this notebook just to play old adventure games that won't run on my XP PC, so I really hope I can get it up and running. Thanks for your assistance.

Dell never had Win98 drivers for this model.  You can try and hope for the best.  Take a look at this link: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=180060.

Thanks for your reply. I'll just give it a go then. At least I got graphics card drivers. I'll report when/if it works. Need new HDD first.

Success! After some more searching on the Dell forums and drivers page, I got Win98 SE installed and played my first old adventure game yesterday (King's Quest 3). YAY! I got XP on another partition and that's used to go online and play some newer stuff. Happy camper here and thanks again for the help! That notebook has a fantastic screen by the way!
