Did you recently install/reinstall the operating system? If yes...

When you reinstalled the operating system, did you install the Desktop/Notebook system software and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

Start with the Desktop/Notebook system software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.

firstly  i  downloaded dss  but during installation it just stopped  with a notification that the processor doesnot  support it..so i didn't go for the next steps......

Looks like you have installed the 32 bit OS and attempted to use the 64 bit drivers? Dell does not officially list 32 bit drivers for the system although some of the drivers are 32 and 64 bit compatible. If you need the 32 bit drivers these will work:

Okay the issue you were having earlier was that you were attempting to use the 64 bit drivers on a 32 bit OS.

Installing the 32 bit ones from here will help. This is the full set of drivers needed for the system. You will have to pick the correct ones for the video and network.
