wireless indicator on the screen

hi,

i have a quick question.

after i installed my wireless driver, there use to be an indicator popping up at the bottom right corner (above the tray with all the icons) that showed whether it was on and off. it was a small picture with an antenna on it, showing what the status of the wireless was after i'd hit f2.

i had to reinstall the system and i can't seem to be able to make it work again. i mean, it's not that big of a problem, but i find it easier than checking the icon in the bar next to the clock and so on...

i had a tiny program saying how my battery is doing as well, which would pop up after hitting f3, but it's gone as well...

i'd appreciate any tips, since i couldn't find much info googling...

p.s. i'm using win 7 x64 on dell 17r.

edit: i managed to find it in the end - it was one of the three drivers under applications on the dell drivers site.
