Also thought to mention that it went into sleep mode the other day and it wouldn't come back. I had to finally figure out to hold the Windows button and the power button on over 10 seconds to get it to come back on. It's a great Tablet but these problems are making me worry that the replacement might have the same issues unless Dell figures out what the problem is.
I've had the same thing happen to me. Mine did it a few times last week and a couple this week with regards to the screen flickering. I've contacted Dell and was told they are sending me in a replacement. At first they wanted me to send mine in for repairs but I use this Tablet for school and work so they are sending me a replacement instead.
Has your Tablet replacement flickered yet? I wonder what the cause is?
That is the screen adjusting to the light and mine has a dead pixel in the bottom left turns off when I close the lid (not sleep) messes with the setting and could not fix it but I still love it.
I can honestly tell Dell does not stand behind there product I have an issue with my Dell that is out of warranty some days it works and some days I cant even get a picture . I am very disappointed if I knew these problems would continue to persist I would not have spent my money.
My XPS 10 was replaced under warranty and I have had no problems with it since then. You shouldn't have let your warranty lapse. Renew it and have DELL fix it. They sent me a brand new tablet last year before shipping my broken one out. Hardware problems happen. Sorry but continuing to use a defective product is irresponsible.
I had small problems with mine, in warranty, after 1 month. They asked me to send to depot for repair. Hesitantly, I did. It came back corrupt and would even start. I received a refurb and had problems here and there. I had to live with the fact that battery dies down unless you shut completely down. I had to live with the fact it turns on when off and kills battery. But then the safeboot error message starts. I constantly have to reset the tablet. Now they say out of warranty, sorry.
I have a ipad that i do not prefer but the battery is always full when i pick it up and it always starts right up.

just got the xps 10.. used it 2 times (short period) and flicker and if no flicker then wifi isn't working...
*sigh*
it is oddly work today (no flicker and wifi is working - but no audio) there are a bunch of RT updates.. maybe one will fix it.
