XPS 1647 Memory Upgrade question

Dell lists a 4GB memort chip upgrade.. and somewhere in the product data sheet also it metions max upgrade to 8GB (4x2)

and most product selector websites.. give only 4GB x2 option for this XPS1647

Select Dell Systems" href="http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&cat=prod&k=1647&rpp=12&p=1&subcat=2999%2f7566%2f7801&rf=all&nk=f&sort=K&ira=False&~srd=False&ipsys=False&advsrch=False&~ck=anav">Dell 4 GB Dell Certified Replacement Memory Module

Manufacturer Part# SNPX830DC/4G
Dell Part# A5039688
Technology: DDR3 SDRAM
Memory Speed: 1333 MHz ( PC3-10600 )
Data Integrity Check: Non-ECC

I find these 2 Ram modules

Corsair DDR3 4 GB Laptop RAM (CMSO4GX3M1A1333C9)

•DDR3-1333/PC3-10600
•SO-DIMM Memory Module

•204-pin Configuration
•9-9-9 CAS Latency

Corsair DDR3 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) Laptop RAM (CMSO8GX3M1A1333C9)

•DDR3-1333/PC3-10600
•SO-DIMM Memory Module

•204-pin Configuration
•9-9-9-24 CAS Latency

Since the pin config is same as 4 GB will this fit to my 1647? or XPS 1647 will reject this ?

I Plan to get 1x 8Gb for now and perhaps plan for another 8gb later down the road.

Thanks,

The system takes modules up to 4G in size -- it will not support a single, 8G module.
