That only worked for a day or two. Now I'm back to having my Fn keys not working. I have to keep going back into Control Panel and setting the Fn Key settings to "Functions" in order for the volumn Fn keys to work.
Same problem here, i installed a new keyboard. (a Illuminated one). Since then i lost functions of the fn key, multi media keys under fn work fine. But cannot dim-down my screen to a lower intensity. witch is a pain late at night.

Mark,
Go to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag number, then select your operating system. Under applications, download and install Dell QuickSet.
On the XPS models,
Start, control panel, windows mobility center. Make sure the Function row key is set for Multimedia.
