XPS 9550 Problems

XPS 15 (9550)
FHD, i7
512 SSD (No 2.5" because of bigger battery)

Hi, I recently got my 9550 all set up. However I kept getting blue screen errors so I did a clean windows install. However, I am still receiving these problems:

Kernel_security_check_failure
Bad_pool_header

The onsite tech came yesterday and replaced my motherboard and SSD. Dumb enough, the SSD didn't come with Windows 10, so I had to install it on my own again. But these problems keep persisting... Happens every 15-30 minutes of use. What can I do? I've already tried updating all the drives from Dell's site before and now. Also, whenever I try to download Windows 10 from the Media Creation tool, it never finishes because I keep getting the blue screen errors from above.

I just downloaded the SupportAssist program from Dell and looked at my system history. It appears the last two crashes were due to the wifi driver... Can you share your crash reports?

I too am getting the BSOD errors that you are reporting.  I also am receiving the following one:

UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION

I am contacting Dell support now, and will keep you posted if I find out anything.

jdrodrig,

I think you may be right...  I did upgrade my nVidia drivers a week or so ago.  My XPS 15 9550 crashed 3 times on me on Wednesday.  The entire day I was using a secondary display via the HDMI port.  Today, however, I was not using an external display, and I had no crashes.

I just rolled back my drivers, and I will report back with any improvements in stability.

Thanks everyone for their input, and hopefully we can figure out what is causing these crashes.

I have the same machine and kept gettign those messages (kernel security crash) but only using photoshop and lightroom.

any chance you upgraded the Nvidia driver after getting the computer?

the "solution" I found was to roll back the driver to the one the machine came with, and remove the file sniffer from adobe program files directory. I had not gotten the message again.

SORRY I have to correct myself, I have the 4K screen (I think you mean FHD you have the other screen).
