17' Dell Flat Panel in Power Saving Mode

Question

I had this problem once before and was able to correct it by 'jump starting' from another monitor. The Dell monitor would come on, green light, but within seconds it would go into the amber light.  The only thing I could get to show up on the screen was 'In Power saving mode. Press any key or move mouse....'  That did nothing.  Finally, I started my computer using another monitor.  Once I had it up, I plugged the Dell flat panel in and was able to go from there.  That was months back and I'd had no more problems with it.   Last week the same thing happened again.  I unplugged the system to move it and when I tried to start it up, the monitor did the same thing.  I tested the monitor (Dell flat panel)  on another computer and it works just fine.  This time I have not been able to 'jump start' the Dell 8200 using another monitor.  As before, the computer comes on, but the Dell monitor immediately goes into power saving mode.  I've been trying for days to get it back up.   HELP.......and thank you

Have you tried going into the power options and disabling or changing to 'never' while using the second monitor?

Same issue here except I have no second monitor to work with . Did you ever resolve? What can I do to fix mine? jk6pack
