18" Ultra Sharp Lcd

I just noticed this today and I know it wasn't messed up before, but the top of my monitor doesnt go full screen like the bottom or left side of screen, on the top left side it's close to the edge like it should be yet the right side of screen looks like it's on an angle, and as for bottom right side it's look to be near the edge as it should be but top right is angled toward the left, almost like u can see this border around the window if i have it full screen... as well i tried adjusting my vertical/horizontal holds but it tells me not necessary? How do I fix this, or do I need to call dell and get a new monitor??

Thanks

Chizzer,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Press the auto-adjust to see if that will resolve your issue.Click the link below to view the online manual for the controls on the monitor.

Yeah I tried that doesn't work, since auto config isn't avail in DVI mode, as well I can't manually set my vertical/horizontal either I think this monitor is just screwd up..... I tried it in D-SUB and same problem even with the Auto COnfig

Chizzer,

I think at this point the best solution would be to contact Technical Support and see about getting a replacement.

Chizzer,

Dell would replace the monitor.  We would not try to repair a monitor on-site.

I know you wouldn't repair on-site what I meant was your on-site people getting a monitor setup then being on-site bring it to my house, what costs are involved with replacement monitors./

Chizzer,

I'm not sure how the collateral works as far as holds are concerned.  You can contact Customer Care to find out for sure.

Dell does used refurbished parts for warranty repair outside the initial 30 days.  I can't say for sure if you are going to get a refurbished monitor at this point.

Chizzer,

Dell would send you the replacement monitor and you would set it up yourself, just as you did when you first received the system.  You would then put the defective monitor in the box the replacement came in, call the carrier and have it shipped back to Dell.  There is no cost to the customer if the system is under warranty.

That's I undestand how to setup and such, but cost meaing Collateral holds if you would send me 1 first, then I ship back second, as well would I get a new monitor or used monitor?

Ok i just received my replacement monitor, it's pretty much the same as the one I have now... it doesn't use the full screen like it's not major but the image isn't full screen where it's edge of monitor to edge of monitor left--->right or Up and down... if I had an option to adjust my vertical/horizontal more so horizontal I could deal with it, but for 600$ + cad this thing should be edge to edge, and I should be able to adust the settings manual even if I am using DVI mode.... I am not happy at all with this monitor compared to other monitors, even other LG monitors which mine is made by, is full screen edge to edge with the image....
