1900FP OSD Problem/Button Not Working

Question

Yesterday when I tried to turn on my 1900FP, the monitor won't power on. I tried to unplug the power core and plug it back, the monitor did turn on itself. However, the brightness/contract adjustment window showed up and I can't get rid of it. To be more precise, the control botton on the front of the monitor doens't work at all.   What do I need to provide in order to get warranty service?

Call or e-mail tech support here: http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=cc_faq&message.id=338 Presuming you bought the monitor with a computer at the same time, have the service tag from your computer available and you may need the serial number from the monitor.  Dell will locate your warranty from the system service tag to determine warranty eligibility.

I have the same problem with my poweredge 1900 fp. However, mine powers on with no problem. However, the brightness and contrast are at 0. And the controls on the monitor do not work. Is there a way to control the brightnes and contrast without using the panel in the monitor?? Also, is there a way to reset the monitor to its factory state??

I bought this over 2 years ago. So I have no idea about the warranty
