1901FP VGA Issues
I Brought a 1901FP with a 8300 system from Dell in April 04 after 3 years of using a 1701FP with a 8200 system which was great, now this 1901FP is making my eyes squint, the settings are the same as they were with the 1701FP just alot brighter now.. which I don't like very much, the screen refresh rate is set to it's highest which is 75 Hertz
Also with ClearType enabled I noticed sometimes when typing some letters are blue, like the i in the screenshoot image I took at

Is there better Monitors out there at DELL?
Thanks

More likely you need to adjust some settings. The 1901 has proved to be an exteremely popular and well reviewed display, both in DVI and Analog. I have had no issues whatsoever with it.
First set your refresh rate to 60-65 Hz, you don't have to concern yourself with flicker on an LCD as you did on a CRT. Set your resolution to optimal 1280x1028. Next, go to your display properties, color tab. Select the default button. Next press the button next to the power button on the monitor which will perform a reset (do this with a full and busy web page). Go back to properties, appearance tab, and select the effects button. Select Clear Type (if your O/S is clear type). See whether the above does not improve the image. You can adjust brightness further with the on screen menu.
