1905FP, Ghosting/Double image problem
I recently connected a Dell 1905FP flat panel monitor to my Dimension 2350 desktop computer. The problem is that the display appears to have ghosting or double images (shadow) for text, icons, pictures, etc. I have made sure "Clear Text" is on and changed my resolution to 1024x768 pixels. Any greater and the text, etc would be too small and the ghosting/double image would not go away. I also tried changing my refresh speed from 75 hertz to 60 hertz; but that also did not seem to make a difference. Has anyone had a similar problem and how was it resolved? I would like to continue to use the monitor; but my eyes get tired from the ghosting. Thank you in advance for your help.

A few days ago, I posted this ghosting problem on the forum. My daughter since had read on the internet that this problem might be a result of a bad cable. Today, I discovered that my 15 pin VGA monitor cable was defective. Once I replaced it. The problem went away and I now have a sharp display on my monitor.

Good to hear you found the problem. Just a note: the 1905's "native" resolution is 1280x1024, and will look much sharper on that resolution, as all LCD screens do on their native resolution.
