2005FPW Distorted display

Brand new 2005FPW. Plugged it in, installed drivers, adjusted resolution, everything worked perfectly.

The next day, when I turned my monitor on, it was all distorted, like a TV station that isn't coming in very well. I could make things out, but it was very difficult to read small print and images were discolored and full of visual noise. Went to reinstall the drivers, and the display fixed itself. Crystal clear.

The next day, when I turned my monitor on, same problem. But this time, reinstalling the drivers did nothing. Auto adjust didn't work. After using it for about 10 mins, it suddenly fixed itself. Another 3 mins later, it was distorted again. Now, it stays distorted. I've changed VGA cables, no luck. Tried to adjust all kinds of settings, no luck. Is this just a bad monitor?

Also...why aren't monitors given Service Tags? I can't contact Dell support even though I paid for a 3 year warranty? Why is it so difficult to figure out how to even *email* them?

Call, and use the customer or order number to the monitor purchase and you should be fine.....
