2007 wfps??? using vga only?

need to finally replace a monitor dell 1226h from 1998 dimension xpsr 400 which is now a p2 1000...daughters use all the time for internet and want to buy a 2007 wfps but the mobo on this comp is agp2 and has a geforce4ti and it is agp 2 with only vga hookups capability so can the above monitor be used either with just vga or dvi to vga plug converter?
