2007WFP A02 still defective!?

I actually ordered a few 2007WFPs a few months ago, just as the banding issue started to become known. I ended up returning three panels, and I figured I'd buy it again if Dell ever fixed the problem.

I THOUGHT the A02 revision was supposed to fix the problem, so I ordered it again during the most recent Canadian Dell deal days. Now here I am again with another defective monitor (lots of banding). And yes, according to the barcode, it's an A02.

Most likely, I'm going to return this and never buy a Dell again. This is WAY too much hassle to just get a monitor that WORKS. I travel a lot on business, so I just can't afford to play the exchange game anymore. Seriously Dell, get your act together.

Even audited A02's have banding.

Make sure you know what you are talking about.

GBCUE: That is a source problem, not a monitor problem. Your have presented a screen Capture, not a picture of the screen and I can see the banding on my CRT.

You have incorrect setup, or poor video player/poor video.

I have an ATI Radeon 9600XT. It's Quicktime PRO. I'm on 32-bit colour.

I don't see how those are bad.

You're right, there's nothing wrong insofar as I can see with your hardware and software. The problem, as Bytor said, is in your SOURCE. Is that a DVD playing or a compressed file (like a rip or trailer from the web)? What I'm seeing there are compression issues on a video file, not a banding issue. I work with compressed video all day, every day, and it can casue exactly what you're seeing there, especially on dark colors.
