Just tested with different resolutions and it's worse at lower resolutions.... :(

Yes, I had the same flickering problem.  I sent mine back and received in exchange a monitor that flickered much less.  It's still there occassionally, but at least it's tolerable.  My first monitor was simply awful.  I'm hoping that after the fix, the flicker will be gone entirely.
