2007WFP - HD YPbPr Color Format Doesn't Work
I'm using my 2007WFP as an HDTV monitor, connected to an HDTV set top tuner via DVI-D single link cable, outputting 720P signal.
When I select HD YPbPr (OSD, Color Settings, Color Format menu) on the Dell, the screen video turns all green and pinkish/magenta.
The manual says: (HD YPbPr is suitable for HD video playback over DVI. PC RGB is suitable for normal PC graphics display over DVI.).
My set top box has no option for changing anything regarding color output on the DVI output. Could I have a defective monitor?
Or ... is this setting for customers that have an adapter similar to THIS

Forum mod said the manual is incorrect regarding this on the 2407. Could be the same for the 2007.

gpro,
That forum post seems to just be discussing input resolutions. The menu option I'm questioning is in the color setup menu.
When I change from PC to YPbPr, the video still shows, it's just pink/magenta and green. Input signal is at 720P which is within the rez range for this monitor.
If you have access to a 2007WFP could you try selecting this setting and report back what you observe?

'DVI 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080p (1920x1080@60Hz) RGB only, not Y,Pb,Pr (the edoc is incorrect)'
I thought it meant that DVI was RGB only. Maybe Chris or someone else can clarify.
I have a 2007WFP but don't see that option with PC connected via DVI - don't have another device to try.

What appears if you switch back to PC RGB while the HDTV and monitor are on?

Chris M,
Switching back to PC RGB with everything on and running, the monitor blanks out for a split second and then perfect video is shown. Switch back to HD YPbPr and it's a 1960's color scheme of green, magenta and pink. Whatever content is showing still appears (it's not garbled or anything). It's just in a mess as far as color.
I've connected via consumer device DVI output on two different set top boxes, and DVD player.
Thanks for taking a look at my post.
