2007WFP not working with nVidia optimization wizard

Hey, we've got a Precision 390 w/2Gb RAM running XP Pro SP2, connected to a Dell 2007WFP, and we're unable to get the optimization wizard in the nVidia control panel to work.  We get a black screen with various messages displayed (Initialized/success/not initialized/not enough memory), and three buttons, one of which says, "Invalid parameters".

We've tried three cards; the Quadro NVS 285, the Quadro FX 570M, and the Quadro FX 1700, and none will work. Driver version is 6.14.11.6255 (or 162.55), the latest driver available from Dell.

dukeisduke,

Plug a different monitor in and tell me if the wizard works.
