2405 vs 2407

Question

i am tryin gto decide bewteen the 2405 and 2407, but i am still not sure what the main differences are i looked at the tech specs and pretty much eveythign is the same i.e. contrast ratio's etc...i knwo they look a bit different, but overall they seem to be fine.    whcih revisions shoudl i get fo rthe 2405 and 2407.  i saw A03 for the 2407 what is it for the 2405....hope someone can tell me the pros and cons between these two monitors.  thanks.

My opinion? The 2407 rev. A03 until you get a good one. The main differences are the panel about six revisions & good reports once but the ones that you would get now would be suss in that they aren't available new anymore from dell. The others would be refurbs.. The 2407 has most of the bugs out now & can be returned under warranty or the satisfaction period for a new one or refund. The 2407 has a lot more inputs & supports hdcp in 780i mode not the full mode. It's settings for 'desktop' works well but the other ones don't. There is plenty of reading on this site so I will give up here. cheers

so basically... even though the 2407 is a newer model with a better design its true quality is much lower than that of its preprocessor...   Unlike where the PS3 is a lot better than the PS2 the 2407 is a lot worse than the 2405... sad.... :((
