2405FPW and DVI powersave mode problem

If anyone is interested and can help me, I would appreciate it if someone can point me to the solution to the

DVI powersave mode problem for the 2405FPW monitor. I've got all the classic symptoms. I understand the fix is supposed to be some Dell utility to reset the EDID. I've been unable to find this utility with instructions on how to use it on this monitor. I've been trying resolve this problem for over 6 months with absolutely NO help from Dell support. I'm hoping the user community can com to my rescue.
