2405FPW+Precision M70 Display Problem at Login Time Only!
I have a Precision M70 laptop, 2405FPW monitor, and Dell Docking Station. I am using a Dell digital cable with the DVI input.
The monitor correctly displays 1920x1200 right until the Windows XP Professional login screen appears. Then, I get the "DVI-D: Cannot display this mode" message. The funny thing is, if I "blindly" press CTRL+ALT+DEL then enter my login password, the display returns as I enter Windows.
Alternatively, I can reboot the computer a couple of times. Eventually, the problem goes away until the next time I reboot the computer.
Any suggestions on how to make this problem go away would be greatly appreciated!

I forgot to mention that I have the latest Dell drivers installed for both the monitor and the video card (Nvidia Quadro FX Go 1400) on the laptop.
Dell monitor driver: 2405FPW.icm dated 12/20/2004.
Video Adapter: dated 9/23/2005

I have exactly the same setup as you, the M70 & 2405FPW monitor & the D/Docking station, but wasn't aware that you can connect these up using DVI as I didn't think the M70 supports it.
I know there is a DVI connector on the back of the D/Dock, tried this to no avail. I have to use a specific graphic card driver as I use the M70 mainly for Photoshop, Illustrator & Maya. It will be interesting to hear your experience on this subject as I would like to try the DVI setup.
