2407 A03 Video Problems

I purchased the 2407 a bout 30 days ago

2407 A03
have the latest dell monitors drivers ver. 1.0
running on a BFG 7800 GTX with nvidia driver ver. 93.71
asus p5n32-sli deluxe

My problem is running video files...avi....dixv....dvd's from drive within media player. The monitor's native resolution gets becomes distorted with green bands across the top 5" of monitor and the lower XP toolbar drops out of the screen. If i run a video file or disk at full screen the monitor will just go blank after 15 or 30 seconds of playing (monitor at native res seems to crash). This problem simply started after installing this monitor...video files ran fine with same system with different monitor. I tried the latest beta driver from nvidia thinking it was a video card issue but to no avail. I am faily confident it is a monitor driver issue or the moniotr itself? What would be the best next step to troubleshoot this issue??? Thank you any help resolving this vexing issue

Try a different media player like "VLC". Windows Media Player, IMO, is craptastically good at screwing up video formats of all sorts.

Thanks for the cool player (vlc)...but this problem of the native resolution crashing still occurs with this alternative media player...could it be the monitor?

What is the easiest way to contact tech support with dell?

ababich,

Your video codec is messed up. Load this one. Restart the PC when finished and check the videos.
