Contact tech support and have them send you a new one. Dell monitors have a three year warrenty. But don't use the ball peen no matter how much you want to otherwise, you may have to pay for a new monitor.
If its past the
21 day return policy period, than Dell may very well send you out a
refurbished monitor, not a new. If you had banding issues, that have been reported on this forum lately, than perhaps Dell will send out a new monitor.
