2407 - Horizontal Lines, Screen shakes
Recently my 2407 monitor started getting red horizontal lines across various parts of the screen. The screen eventually starts to shake, and depending on what the monitor is displaying the colour of the lines would change to blue, or green. When the computer is restarted the lines disappear for a while, but come back after an hour or two. The monitor is plugged into a inspiron1720 laptop, and the laptop screen has no issues at all. There were no hardware changes made, nor any new software installed recently before this started happening... Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. I'm still searching for a solution.

All,
Do these lines appear in the selftest?
* Turn off the monitor
* Unplug the monitor from the computer (ALL cables)
* Plug the monitor power cord directly into the wall socket
* Turn on the monitor
* The floating red/green/blue/white dialog box should appear on screen against a black background

Did it all and yes the lines appear. But not on the black, they only appear wherever the box happens to be floating

If under warranty, get it replaced. If you only have a monitor order number, you should contact Customer Service. If your monitor was purchased tied to a Dell PC, contact Technical Support. They will need the following -
Name:
Email Address:
Shipping address:
Phone number:
Monitor Order number or PC Service Tag number if purchased with a PC:
Monitor 20 digit PPID number found on the back on a label or on the slider card on the left rear:
Reason:
