that's not banding. it is a known issue though, although not nearly as talked about as banding and certain other things. not sure what it is called.

yeh you still have banding on ur A02.... its just a matter of wether its that annoying to u, i think its noticeable... run proper vertical gradient tests and u will see banding.

And yes i have had the same issue your talking about with your pink colour over the grey areas when scrolling... except mine was light green... and so was someone elses that told me... mine didnt do it last night nemore i think that may be due me using my other dvi port now... not too sure

But if you have another DVI port in ur card then attach ur monitor to that and see if the issue is gone? because some video cards are not fully DVI compliant and cannot supply a good enough signal for resolutions above 1920x1600, some card come with 2 DVI ports usually the TMD Transmitter is internal (onboard the gpu chip) this results in limited frequency signals whereas the other port usual will have its TMD Transmitter external hence *may* give you the higher frequency your LCD needs to run without any "side effects" .

have a read here all about DVI compliance > http://www.tomshardware.com/2004/11/29/the_tft_connection/index.html

Thanks for the replies. So it seems the banding is not a problem on my monitor. However, any idea on the "pink" issue?

I received my 2407 today (A02, June 06, made in China). I am also seeing this issue with the pink while scrolling.... weird.

edit: it's pink in DVI-D mode, green in VGA mode.

I am seeing the same issue on my A02 (two of them). I had ChrisM send me another one and it's still there. Like Mikkle said, it's green in VGA mode and pink in DVI mode. It does it on my Windows PC as well as my Mac Mini. The A00 I originally had didn't seem to do this. For me, this is more annoying than the banding problem was. Every time I scroll this forum or move a window around, I see it.

In case anyone's interested it does it on both Chinese and Mexican made monitors.

So how do I go about contacting Chris M? I'm very disappointed w/ this monitor (the banding, the pink lines issue, the terrible output for component video), and I don't consider it a properly functioning product. I'm outside the 21 days windows (by a few days) but want to get my full money back. This is basically a defective product.
