2407FPW stand problem

Question

Hello everybody ...   I've just received my 2407 yesterday and I already have a problem with the stand.   The screen just get to the lower position in the 'locked' position and i'm not able to unlock it.   I try to press the unlock button beneath the stand but it's seems to be blocked ...   I've not found much details in the manual to explain how to unlock and move up the screen.   Can anyone tell me how to unlock this screen ?   Thanx for your help.

i had this problem with a 2007WFP stand. i was fiddling with it for fun, and it just got stuck; couldn't find any way to unlock it or anything. it came with a RMA'd monitor i just got, so i phone up customer care to get this shipping labels and they ended up giving me another to send them the stand back as it wouldn't fit back in the monitor box. *shrugs*

Press down on the monitor before you press the button. It will unlock.

My god that's just silly, there was nothing wrong with the stand all you have to do is press down on the monitor - why don't the tech people know stuff like this?

ya i have no idea, i asked them how i fix it because it was locked and they put me on hold for like 5 minutes then told me they wer ejust going to send me another shipping label.
