They are saying this could be caused by the CF interface pin being bent? What do you see? Also, please open the device manager and tell me if there is a bang on Generic Volume. It could mean that the USB resource wanted by the monitor is being occupied by another device.

I don't know about a "pin". There is a single piece inside the slot that has the row of tiny rectangular female sockets for the CF card pins. So it may be that this piece is not correctly seated or moving around, but I cannot tell. It certainly feels like the CF cards are being seated correctly when I put them in.
 
As to the device settings.... I assume you mean "!" for bang. I can't see any. This is what I see when there is no CF card inserted...
