2408: Sparkling pixels upon waking...?

I just received my Ultrasharp 2408 (refurb) and, first of all, must say that this is a big, gorgeous monitor and comparing it to my old, faithful Sony Trinitron is like night and day. The display is an A01 and I notice that the sharpness adjustment is graduated in units of 10 so I'm assuming this is a late model revision with the newest firmware based on what I've been reading on these forums. It's attached to a G5 Mac via DVI with an ATI Radeon 9600 XT graphics card. I LOVE it....except --

Upon waking from sleep, I'm seeing a smattering of what appear to be sparkly pixels primarily in the southeast quadrant (sorry - lower left :-) ) of the screen. Weirder is that it appears to be DIFFERENT pixels each time I need to wake the display. They twinkle white for a bit and gradually disappear over the course of, oh, about 3-4 minutes as the display....warms up, I guess.

This is obviously greatly concerning to me and I'm guessing I need to get a replacement. Is this a known issue? Is there a way to fix it?

Thanks,

Neal

Has no one else seen anything like this? Can someone from Dell please respond? I'm adding this post to bump the thread back up to the top in the hopes that it just got missed somehow...

Thanks,

Neal
