2408wfp on-screen menu position adjustment
Hi,
I have a question:
In the 2407wfp there is a nice function thet let the user to position the menu on the screen. Why this function has been removed in the 2408wfp model?
It was really useful when having a test screen and adjusting some parameters when the menu obscured the test pattern.
Any chance to restore it in the revision A01?

Hi,
does that "Solution" mark mean that this functionality will be restored in the incoming A01 firmware revision for the 2408wfp?

Nope, I did not, therefore I asked what does it mean in practice.
I cannot even seen such an option to so. Letting the user accept a proposal as a product solution would be a bit silly IMHO.

CrymsonArray,
you wrote:

I have just answered you that I didnt mark your post as a solution because only Dell liasons can do it. Also how come we can mark a feature as a solution? If I could it would be fantastic, because Dell would have to implement it :)
Besides this was a question to Dell, discussing it between us makes not much sense.
Hope it explains better now.

i understand now.
but, only the threadstarter in this case "Andre66", can mark any post as a solution. the purpose of the solution is so that it is easier for anyone reading the thread to quickly find the solution to the problem posted by the threadstarter. and sort of give credit to the person who posted the solution.
nothing to do with the Dell liasions. and nothing to do with whether the feature is implemented or not. it only has to do with this forum and this thread alone.
hope you understand what it means now.

CrymsonArray,
thanks for the explanation, it was my 1st thread open.
I still dont understand how your post got marked as "accepted solution". i thought it was done by Dell, hence my original question what that exactly means.
Since this is not the case, I removed this mark as it was just not right.
I think this thread was anyway ignored by Dell so I guess this feature will be indeed forgotten.

i dont think its gonna be ignored just yet. read that Jimmy_P is not around this week, Chris_M will be taking over for a while. wait till Jimmy_P comes back and hopefully he reads this thread.
or i could just PM him regarding this anyway.

CrymsonArray,
I started this thread around mid-may, and since then you're the only one who posted any comments here. Since I did not see any comments from Dell and according to you the "Solution" mark is not available for anyone else then the thread-starter, it means to me that this not gonna be incorporated again.
In the meantime Jimmy_P said that the only menu change in the A01 is the 10step sharpness control, then probably we got the answer already...
