3007WFP Brightness keeps resetting--Help!

I just received my 3007WFP & I am very happy with it except that every time I power up my computer might brightness settings have changed. I have to then go into my Nvidia control panel & reset to my desired setting. It seems to lose its setting when I power down. Does anybody have any ideas. I did a search on this forum & im not the first with this problem.

tboo72,

You do not specifically say, but when you power off the PC, are you also powering off the monitor?

tboo72,

Try powering off the PC but not the monitor, then, power up the PC and tell me if the settings were retained.

Correct, once my PC shuts down I power off the monitor via the powerbar

I have exact the same problem, i power off all my devices over my back-ups.

I understand that the monitor does store the setting only in a ram like memory.

Is there a way to set the brightness over an command line tool that can be add to autostart with an parameter for the desired brightness so that the PC sets the wanted value after boot up?

Ok, I powered off the PC but not the monitor & the same thing happened-the brightness reset itself. I have an Nvidia 8800GTX, but I dont have the special Nvidia aplet for this monitor in my display properties. I have the Dell tab, but not the special tab that Nvidia card owners are supposed to have.
