A03 exchanges for A04's. Post spacing issue.
HI all, When the A03 for A02 exchanges went down, we had a thread to keep track of what versions shipped from where around the world., that's as good as it got here. For A04’s now: When you want an exchange, you give your purchase order number or service tag number and that should and will track your personal specific exchange on the date you called and requested an exchange for the 1:1 mapping issue. Don't argue with the phone rep, they won't get it, just have them note exchange for the 1:1 pixel mapping issues discussed in this thread in this forum. Get the exchange started, see what you get:) Since a lot will be out of the 21-day exchange some are going to get refurb's, so exchange until you get the A04 that is satisfactory to you. If you get an A04 with other defects or issues return again at Dell's expense (ask for a prepaid return label shipping to be included in the replacement box for the defective one) for sending you a defective refurbished monitor and save the possible multiple return shipping costs. Within 21-days U.S. be sure to exchange for new only or send it back and don’t pay restocking or return shipping as you can state any legitimate defect, banding more than 7 dead pixels or two adjacent, no 1:1 mapping, back light bleed or uneven and on and on. Those are some of the problems that show up randomly in LCD’s no matter what brand or model. You all might want to start an A04’s shipping from where around the world thread. I waited until the A03’s were shipping from TN, USA for two weeks steadily and exchanged A02’s for new A03’s (with no banding, that was the big issue then). Instead of building two 2407 warehouses to sort versions, as ChrisM eluded to :) That was funny Chris, you are doing a good job here :) Dell could add version numbers to an optic scan code label, update there system to accommodate the codes on the boxes that have the different version numbers. They have to sort 2407’s coming in to Dell and they could sort them shipping out but I see they don’t want to spend the time doing that. :) Sooner or later you will get what you want :) Good Day to all:) ChrisM , Why no spacing in some posts but spacing in others I know you asked the Dell experts before, I just never saw anything from you.

If you use the text based message editor there is a check box to "Automatically convert carriage returns to HTML line breaks". This inserts the blank lines. To get a blank line in the graphical editor you need to press 'Enter' twice.

FYI,
Exchange refused = 1 to 5 defective pixels spread out
Exchange given = 6 or more defective pixels anywhere, 2 adjacent defective pixels, 1 defective pixel directly in the center
