AC411 Wireless Speaker System, turns itself off automatically

I just purchased a Dell XPS 8700 Special Edition Desktop System.

I have 2 Dell UltraSharp 24 U2414H Monitors

1 Monitor is connected to the Desktop Computer AMD Radeon HD R9 2 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card via a Display Port (NOT mini) to Display Port Cable

The 2nd Monitor is connected to the same Graphics Card via an HDMI to HDMi cable

I also have a Dell AC411 Wireless Speaker System that is connected directly to the Desktop Computer.

Questions:

What specifically would I use the "Audio line-out" port of each monitor for?

I repeatedly have problems with the Dell AC411 Wireless Speaker System turning itself off after a period of time & I have to turn it back on again.

Then, at least once or twice a day, I can not turn it back on again.

I have to disconnect it (Woofer to computer), unplug it from the electrical outlet, re-start my computer & then reconnect it again for it to allow me to turn it on again.

What do I need to do to make it not turn itself off and to keep from me having to constantly disconnect it & reconnect it to be able to turn it on again?

I received a "Drivers and Documentation" CD for each of my U2414H Monitors.

Do I have to download any information from that CD, or did Dell include all of that in the System as it was shipped to me?

I repeatedly have problems with the Dell AC411 Wireless Speaker System turning itself off after a period of time & I have to turn it back on again.
* That is normal. Just press the power button on the AC411 remote control to wake it up. If that does nto work, they are defective.

What specifically would I use the "Audio line-out" port of each monitor for?
* HDMI to HDMI is also transmitting audio. So you could attach the speakers to it. But I would not. I would attach the speakers directly to the sound card port on the system. The monitor audio line out should not be used for headphones.

I received a "Drivers and Documentation" CD for each of my U2414H Monitors. Do I have to download any information from that CD, or did Dell include all of that in the System as it was shipped to me?
* The system and monitors come from different locations, so no, nothing on the monitor CDs was loaded. You do not need the CD. All the drivers are on the website.

Thanks for your assistance.

Pressing the power button on the AC411 remote control does not turn it back on.

As I stated in my initial post:

Are there any "Power Options" anywhere for the AC411 where I can change the Power Options so that it never sleeps, hibernates, nor turns off?

You said that "all of the drivers are on the website" for my dual U2414H Monitors.

But, since my Monitors are operating correctly, would not those drivers have already been loaded onto my System by Dell - even if the System & Monitors were shipped from different locations?  Dell knew which dual Monitors I was getting.

I hate to download different drivers & mess up what already works.  What do you recommend?

If the AC411 really is defective, what is the procedure for getting it replaced?

There are some other posts on this forum of other people also having this intermittent problem.

I can't believe that every one of those AC411 is defective.

* The User's Guide does not mention any.

* Most likely the operating system just loaded basic INF files for the monitors. If working, do not install anything.

If the AC411 really is defective, what is the procedure for getting it replaced?
* If purchased directly from Dell, you received a Dell order number. You would contact Dell Order Support 800-624-9897, provide the Dell order number and arrange for a like for like speaker exchange.

In a previous post above I stated:

I repeatedly have problems with the Dell AC411 Wireless Speaker System turning itself off after a period of time & I have to turn it back on again.

Then you replied:

* That is normal. Just press the power button on the AC411 remote control to wake it up. If that does nto work, they are defective.

Then, in a subsequent post you replied that the User Manual for the AC411 did not show any Power Options.

If the AC411 does not have any Power Options, how can it "sleep" & I have to repeatedly "wake" it up?

If the AC411 can NOT "sleep", but it continues to turn itself OFF, is that considered it being "DEFECTIVE"?

I would hate to replace it as being defective if it turning itself off repeatedly is normal.

And, if it does have a "sleep" function, there must be a way for me to change something so that it NEVER sleeps.

Having to repeatedly turn the AC411 Remote Control back on is just flat out annoying & time consuming.

Follow-up Questions please:

What is the "Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)" that shows up under "Devices" ?

The "Dell AC411"  (Dell Wireless Speaker System AC411) also shows up under "Devices".

Does the "Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)" have anything to do with the "Dell AC411" (Dell Wireless Speaker System AC411) that I have?

Why do I need BOTH of those items as "Devices"?

I also have exactly the same problem on my Dell Desktop (new in February 2016).  If the system is left for a while and goes into "sleep" mode, I cannot "wake the AC411 up".  I have already had one system replaced which worked for about a month, now this one is doing the same.  Judging by the number of posts on the same subject, it's starting to look like a design fault with this sound system.  It's a pity because when it works, it's good.  I have never heard of a sound system switching itself off after a period of inactivity.  When I mentioned this to Dell, they didn't seem to know what i was talking about!.  As others have said, the only way I can get it to work, is to turn the WHOLE system off for a while and then it works.........not satisfactory.  I would be interested to hear others comments.

There is NO remedy for this.

Believe me - I worked for 3 months (along with Dell) trying to solve that problem

Dell should absolutely know about this problem - There were tons of such incidents when I researched it.

My final remedy - I returned the AC411 to Dell for a complete refund.

I replaced it with an el cheapo (free) & aged (about 5 years old) speaker I had laying around that was not being used.

Have never had a problem since.

Thanks for that Donald.  This is my SECOND sound system, as Dell did replace (F.0.C.) the first one.  Now this one is doing exactly the same.  I am hoping that Dell will be as kind to me and either replace with a DIFFERENT one or give me a refund.  Thank you again.  Keith
