Are Dell Computers Compatable With HP Monitors?

I have a Dell 9100 that I bought In 2005,it came with a 17 inch flat panel monitor.I'm wondering if I can use a HP w2207  monitor with my 9100..its  22 inches..better for these old eyes,I saw the monitor at Sams Club and I love the way it looks...I have 1 gig of memory and my graphics card is 256 ATI Hyper Mem..any help would be appreciated..thanks..Vicki

Yes. Monitors and graphics cards use standard interfaces, so the manufacturer is not an issue. It's more a question of support for your monitor's resolution. In this case there shouldn't be any problem.
