sorry to see you have problems. i on the other hand find this monitor to be excellent.
Just got the E22 2days ago
it replaced a Dell W2607c (max 1360x768)
It had no problem with the 1680x1050 out of the box. All i did was unplug the W2607c DVI cable and hook it up to the E22. It ran as a plug n play monitor at first until i installed the driver from the disk.
colors look great to me. only use this computer to play games so i would not keep it
if it was not satisfactory.
Run on a Dell Dim8400 with 2gig ram and a Evga Nvidia 6800GS
I have tried several games and all run at the monitor default res(1680x1050)
games were, Everquest 2, Titan Quest, Neverwinter nights 2 and world of warcraft.
I have not checked yet but it could be, like in the 1907fp, several diff brands of panels are used. Some are better than others.
On the 1907fp i have on the other computer, it has the samsung panel(the 190ex)
"On the other hand there is a 19" TN Film panel (LTM190EX-L01) which is listed as 16.7 million colours. Does this imply it uses 8 bit colour depth with no need for dithering?
While it is hard to get any confirmed information from the manufacturers, it would seem that perhaps some modern TN Film panels now offer a full 8 bit colour depth, and perhaps negate the need for dithering technology. "

"I was replying to the OP, not you. That said, your "proof" is an opinion piece and your own post acknowledges this information is tough to confirm."
ok - sorry - was not clear who you were replying to - you did not quote and you
post was right after mine :)
point noted on my "proof"
what i am agreeing with is where they say maybe not all 6bit panels
are the same. Some can manage 16.7mill colors apparently without the need
for dithering. The samsung 190ex is one and is also the same panel that is
in this Dell 1907fp
(this computer uses the 19, other ..the gamer..uses the E22)

why do you say that? where is your proof?
did you read the link i provided?
it did not say ALL 6bit panels were like that (16.7million colors and
no dithering) just that the samsung 6bit 190ex is.
