Blinking monitors

Every since I hooked a second lcd monitor up they both start blinking at random times. They flicker from the feed to black over and over. Sometimes for short amounts of time and sometimes it doesn't stop.

The second monitor is plugged into DVI but with a VGA converter.

The graphics card is a 256mb Radeon x700pro PCIe. No additional power chord. Latest driver installed.
