blu uphill lines on screen

can anybody help i have an ultrascan P991 colour monitor which has fine blue lines across it running uphill left to right does anybody know how to get rid of them. Any help would be much appreciated.

These are vertical retrace lines and I am having the same problem. Check my post "P991 problem" on 04/13/06.

Let me know if you find a fix for this.

thanks for tip have you tried this out it looks a bit too complicated to me. Was hoping it was something easier to fix.

The only thing my P991 monitor required was an adjustment of the G2 voltage on the CRT to restore it to almost perfect working condition. It fixed the background tint, visible vertical retrace lines, and excessive brightness.

Unfortunately, it can only be done with WinDas since there are no electrical adjustments on the monitor. If it looks too complicated for you, I'd try to find a somebody who could get WinDas assembled and the adaptor cable is less than $20 on ebay. You don't even have to take the covers off. It'd a shame to throw away a monitor that was top-of-the-line a about 5 years ago and would probably give you a few more years of service.
